Name: Finley Chester Greyson
Age: Sixteen
Occupation: Hogwarts Student -- Gryffindor?
Appearance :
Finley is of average height, but on the low side of average. He has shaggy brown hair that he wears long and keeps messy. He has blue-gray eyes and freckles across his nose and cheeks. He is thin, but strong because he enjoys working out the Muggle way; good old lighting weights and push-ups. He wears the school uniform rather sloppily, with the shirt untucked and his tie loosened and often one side of his collar is sticking up. He usually carries a beat up messenger bag as his school bag and it is covered in graffiti ranging from homework assignments to song lyrics to book titles and quotes. He likes to wear black and white checkered converse sneakers if he can get away with it, but he doesn't mind the school shoes either. He wears buttons supporting his favorite music groups, such as the Weird Sisters.
Personality: Finley often comes off as angry, but that isn't true. He just doesn't like to deal with stupid people or stupid things. He is very blunt and to the point and will often say things that are very insulting. He feels bad about this and will apologize swiftly, even if he doesn't quite mean it. He is a no nonsense type of personal, very type A. He is serious in his studies and freakishly obsessive about things being in their proper places at the proper times. He does not handle surprises extremely well and will go to such lengths as to plan out his entire homework schedule for the entire week.
He is not extremely intelligent, but he works hard to make up the difference and is a hard worker in everything he does. He likes to have fun, but only on his terms. He will not forgive someone easily for something they have done even if he does it to them first. He can be extremely childish and will hold grudges for a long time. He is very selfish and parts with things unwillingly. He does not do well with loneliness, which is why he covets things and people. To cope with his abandonment issues, he is pan sexual, which means he sees no genders. He is given to one night stands and quick relationships and it is rare that he is single for longer then four days at any given time.
However, he is charming and charismatic as another way to deal with his abandonment issues. He draws people in with his flirtatious and suave mannerisms and speeches so they will not leave him. He enjoys being surrounded by people and gets very cranky and mean when he is feeling abandoned. He tries his best to be a beautiful and fun loving person on the outside, while on the inside he is sad, lonely, and only slightly twisted. He is self-described as disillusioned.
History: Chester Greyson and Janey Wilcox were very young when they met. He was twenty and she was seventeen. Within three months of meeting, Janey was pregnant with twins. When she was six months pregnant, Chester left her for her beautiful (and not pregnant) cousin Florence. Janey was extremely depressed and almost killed herself. However, her parents intervened and placed her into a hospital program that would monitor her and her unborn children almost around the clock.
At five thirty in the morning on a snowy January day, Janey went into labor. It was a hard pregnancy and an even harder birth. Janey nearly died several times. Then it was all over and she had two boys. Finley Chester and Adrian James. They were both tiny and horrible, ugly little things when she first saw them, but they grew pinker, fatter, and more adorable as the days passed. All the nurses loved the twins, but their mother refused to acknowledge their presence. They were only reminders of Chester, who was now cavorting with Florence.
Janey's mother and father took the boys in when they were released and Janey disappeared. The boys were raised by their elderly grandparents until they were about seven (they started displaying signs of magic, to which their grandparents had no clue how to interrupt. They were almost exorcised for demons at one point). They were sent off to live with their father in the hopes that the equally charming and captivating young boys would make their father's heart melt. They had no such luck. Within a year, the grandparents were dead, Florence met a young Spaniard name Pablo, and their father was with another girl.
Their father developed an extremely unpleasant lifestyle with his new girlfriend and the boys were left to practically raise themselves. One day, while Finley and Adrian were trying to track their father and his cohorts down, Adrian stepped out in front of a speeding car. The driver was drunk and did not see the nine year old. Adrian was hit and killed. Finley saw it all happen. His father managed to get off neglect charges with the authorities, but his ways did not change.
Finley begged him to stay with him, for he was scared and lonely and devastated, but his father only pushed him away and walked out. Finley never saw his father again. Neighbors reported a little boy in the apartment alone and he was sent off to live with an extremely old and forgetful great-aunt in Northern London. She was witch and she told him what he was after he caused her draperies to burst into flames. That year, he received his letter on his eleventh birthday and the following September, he was shuttled off to Hogwarts.
At Hogwarts, he was lonely and scared, but he was sorted into Gryffindor for being brave and loyal to his family (what was left of it). He was also recognized for not being afraid to stand up for who he was. He has never told anyone about Adrian or his mother and father. He just says he was raised by Sophie.
He returns every summer to his great-aunt Sophie, whom he has grown to love very much. He chooses, however, to remain at Hogwarts for the holidays (except some Christmases). He is in his sixth year of Hogwarts and is a Gryffindor.
