Name: Amelia Connelly
Age: Sixteen.
Occupation: Ravenclaw Student.
Appearance: Amelia is typically average. Long brown hair, curls around a genuinely friendly face, with (what she would describe as overly HUGE) charming features- deep brown eyes, a pretty mouth, and yes, you guessed it, a nose. She is neither tall, nor thin, and doesn’t pride herself in her looks- but then again, she isn’t the sort of person to care. She doesn’t bother with tans (though a friend taught her a self-tanning charm), but in her advantage, the contrast between her pale skin and dark hair is quite handsome to say the least.
Personality: To categorize Amelia would be to say she was a Jack of all trades (and definitely master of none). She’s not the type of person who would lead the war against You-Know-Who, but she would be a valuable part of it. Amelia has always been down to earth, and knows her priorities. She works hard for anything she wants (which really is everything), but her interests are easily swayed if they appear objectable. Amelia, you may realise, is a bit of a sheep. She relates easily to people but tends to try too hard when it’s her calm personality that usually attracts people to her. It’s quite hard to annoy her, but once you’ve got under her skin, she’s a tad hot-headed, which is definitely not a good thing when she reads books like “Hexes for the Harassed Hexer,” and “Hexes for the Harassed Hexer, Volume 2.” She is a hard worker, but unfortunately, she’s got the attention span of a chipmunk when left to her own devices, which leads to quite a bit of trouble at times. At times, clumsiness is a key factor of her daily lifestyle, but I do promise that generally, you’ll survive a day in her vicinity.
History: Amelia was brought up in a little town in Northern Ireland to a normal little family with the average sized normal Irish family; four brothers and herself. Only joking, I know that’s a tad larger than normal. She was brought up in the typical muggle way, and her days were filled running havoc and being a normal kid even if they didn’t seem to have as much money as the other families. She passed her tests well enough to be accepted into a top boarding school in the city on sponsor. That was before the Hogwarts letter arrived. After a lot of bad acting, her father finally owned to being a Wizard after years of silence. None of her siblings had any signs of magical talent, and it hadn’t seemed Amelia possessed it either- there had been no abnormal experiences, but this was more to the fact she was too calm a child to have felt the need to set things on fire by accident. Hogwarts was the best thing to happen to her. “A bit” of everything was always a big part of her life, and it turned out she was “sort of” a natural at everything they threw at her. Of course, when she got it wrong, it got well out of hand, but in a whole, she seemed to be a natural when you placed a big piece of fancy twig in her hand. Meanwhile, since the cat was out of the bag at home, her father began twiddling with his own wand, and suddenly, they began to make more money, making life that little bit sweeter for them all. After that, it’s all history really, leading Amelia to her sixth year of Hogwarts.
Politically speaking, it’s all above Amelia’s head. Her father had lived as a Muggle for so many years after You-Know-Who’s downfall, that he’d fallen out of knowledge of the different magical views, leaving Amelia to her own devices. And like I said, she always was a bit of a sheep, meaning it’s quite funny watching her struggle to decide with which side in the magical world she should be favouring.
