Name: Lily Rae Morring
Age: 13
Occupation: Student, Second year, Ravenclaw
Appearance :
Personality: Lily has an irish accent and sees the deeper meaning in things that others wouldn't. Shes very mature for her age and understands that you can't always have things go the way you want them to and that somtimes you just have to deal with it. She has a leadership quality about her and making friends is easy as long as they don't mind her being a little weird sometimes.
Lily will seem to be going one way with a situation and swing an entirely different way. She can be unpredictable but her decisions and actions are always pure and usually prove to be the right course to take at the very last second. Shes quick in stressful situations and while some would mistake her for jumping into things and not thinking before she acts, its quite the opposite. Lily just thinks up the action to take so fast, its hard to realize she thought about it at all.
Lily is very smart. But what she has she doesn't apply in the way that it would normally be used for. Lily applies her smarts to being creative. She'd much rather write her own book than read one or paint and draw rather than answer math questions. Lily puts her brain to work on art and nothing more unless its absolutely called for. Shes been caught doodling in class more often than not. Shes the most stubborn girl you'll ever meet too. Lily stands on what she believes in even when the whole world is coming to an end. Not a soul can change her mind once its made up and those who know this, don't even try.
The little girl loves to help people and see them smile. She would be the first to walk up to someone all alone on the playground or buy an icecream cone for the girl who just dropped hers. (Or maybe draw her one if shes out of money.) But, Lily doesn't just help children her own age. Lily has sat down and told her mother things that her psychologist couldn't. Shes able to think up mature responses and in the end, always is able to give a helping hand. Talking things out with the thirteen year old could be the best thing you've ever done.
The little blonde is a firm believer in being a kid as long as you can and to have fun when you can. Somehow that just makes her more mature. Lily always looks to splash a little color into everyone lives whether it be with some laughter or a paintbrush. Shes one of the best friends you'll ever be able to sit outside and stargaze with. Especially when she plays her guitar and even if shes a little afraid of lightning.
History:
Little Lily Morring was born in Dublin, Ireland on May 17th. Her father was from London and her mother from a small town in Ireland. Lily's mother was an artist who sold her paintings and artwork to anyone who was interested. Her name was continuing to grow. Her mother was also a witch, but she rarely used magic. It wasn't as if she was ashamed of who she was, just that she felt that magic was not a neccesary part of her life. She was happily married to a muggle afterall. Her husband and Lily's father was also an artist. At least in Lily and her mothers opinons. Her father was a photographer. He didn't consider himself to be an artist, but Lily and her mother both agreed he was.
The family lived happily for years. A picture perfect, slightly rundown, farm house in Ireland. Lily loved it there. The lush green fields and forests where you always felt as if something magical was happening. That somehow, there was magic behind each sunrise and sunset on the forest and each star that sat up in the sky. That you could run through the fields barefoot and into the woods where the sun was dimmed, but still warm and came down in patches. Then jump from a tree into the sparkling stream that ran through it. Or thats how Lily felt. Lily always wanted her mother to use her magic. It fascinated her but her mother rarely did.
The bills continued to pile up and living life as an artist is never easy. The parents kept this from their daughter. Why worry a young girl about grown up problems? It was theirs to deal with and didn't want to bring such a free spirit down that way. But crash, the whole family soon would. Lily's father finally hit the breaking point as Christmas was coming. There was just no money. And explaining that to Lily was no problem, she didn't mind at all. She understood that times were tough and that no Christmas was okay, but things got worse anyways.
Finally, Lily's father and Lily's mother had a fight. Her father was sick of 'living a lie' and while he doing what he loved was wonderful, it was not pracitcal. He claimed he should've known that taking pictures was no way to make a living. But Lily's mother didn't agree with him. She gave her heart and soul to her art, and sure times were tough but they were alive, getting by and doing what they loved. Lily's mother always said how beautiful her husbands photographs were and that she'd fallen in love with the photos and then the man who took them.
A divorce didn't come. Lily's parents were far too in love for that. Her father did leave though. He got a job in the city of London, manning a very big ship for a company. Due to this the family had to leave behind the house they loved in the place they loved. For Lily, this was hard. Understandable, but hard. She loved everything about Ireland. And one would feel out of place going from the quiet countryside of Ireland to the bustling city of London. From a big farmhouse to a small apartment. All adjustments that were hard. From seeing her father all the time, everday, to seeing him once a month at best. He would always tell her it was just until the money was back up. But it seemed, to Lily, that that might never be.
But they got by. Lily had always been homeschooled and now she had to attend public school. She got made fun of and in trouble a lot because she was usually caught drawing in class or painting on the side of a building. Lily's mother had a hard time keeping up with her. But they got by. Her father would send pictures to the family almost everyday. While he was doing whatever he could to get the money issue fixed, even if its what he hated, the love for the camera still bled through and he still took his pictures out at sea or wherever the ship was docked. Life was life.
Until an owl starting tapping on Lily's apartment window.
