W. W. D. D.? What Would Dumbledore Do? By Reporter Rita Skeeter
Following the recent breakout from Azkaban Prison, You-Know-Who’s faithful followers, the Death Eaters, have been sighted brutally harassing young students—first and second years in particular—to join with He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Through pushing, shoving, and even verbal abuse, they are trying to convince the young ones to give up their education to become Death Eaters. Now, dear reader, I am wondering exactly what you are, “What does Albus Dumbledore, Headmaster of Hogwarts, have to say about this?” Curiously enough, there has been no word from Dumbledore on the matter thus far, which raises many interesting questions. Why hasn’t he done anything about this wicked conscription? Is he ignoring the problem entirely? Or, in his very old age, is he just blissfully unaware? For someone seemingly so concerned with the futures of children (he is the Headmaster after all), it seems peculiar that Dumbledore is not more involved in the situation. As someone who has so much influence over students, it is expected of him to put a stop to this madness, but how can he do so if he fails to recognize the horrific happenings that are all around him? So, what would Dumbledore do? Maybe if he would act, we would know…
